A route to Nirvana

"At the highest level of his teaching, Buddha uses hardly controllable states of mind as raw material to reach illumination. In other religions or philosophies of life, such states are seen as sins or unsocial behaviour." [Lama Ole Nydahl]

Fury, envy, greed, pride, ignorance. Under these notions, beneath a silver layer of rub-off paint, one can find five liberating wisdoms. These wisdoms are the end-results of the metamorphosis of the five "disturbing" feelings. As such, they lead toward enlightenment.

 

During the 6 weeks exhibition, every week the artist was drawing mandalas in the room that with the circulation of hundreds of people every day have disappered.




The installation was made in the exhibition "Paradies", in a Bunker under Berlin-Alexander Platz in the frame of the M.A.I.S, project curated by Nina and Torsten Römer:
