“All Those Little Things” was presented at Kalfayan Galleries in November 2024. This is a new body of work of Silvina Der Meguerditchian’s memory-carpets under the title The Texture of Identity .These works offer a tactile and poignant synthesis of past and present, where photographs and fragments are carefully interwoven into contemporary forms.
For the first time in this ongoing series, Der Meguerditchian has shifted from using archival images to incorporating her own photographs—captured over the past two decades during visits to cities marked by conflict and political transformation. These include Aleppo (2006), Stepanakert and Shushi in Nagorno-Karabakh (2008), Diyarbakir (2014), and Beirut (2018). Through these personal images, the works become even more intimate, serving as quiet homages to the resilience of everyday life in these places—minimal monuments that merge the temporal with the timeless in a deeply reverent gesture.
